WWII - year 8

Since January 27th is coming up soon I figured we might as well do some reading comprehension activities in English connected to the Second World War.

BBC has an interactive map of Auschwitz with all the information you need to answer the questions. The last question is an analyzing question where you can take help from the Auschwitz museum web page. Check your language, write proper sentences and remember that all five skills in English are applicable on this task.

Holes by Louis Sachar - year 9

Time for Holes by Louis Sachar. Make sure you borrow it from me on Monday 16th of Jan.

Monday 23rd of Jan - read chapters 1-17 before the lesson
Monday 6th of Feb - read chapters 18-35 before the lesson
Monday 13th of Feb - read chapters 36-50 before the lesson
Monday 20th of Feb - see the film if you haven’t seen it at home already. If you have, this is free time.
Monday 27th of Feb - writing assignment

I have questions to all chapters in the book enclosed. Discuss the questions except the ones marked Writing. Those you write full answers to.

If you want you to watch the film at home, you can find it enclosed here.

Edit: I have added a link to the audio book of Holes if you want to listen while you read. It's not divided in chapters but in segments but you're smart kids, you'll figure it out :)
